Client Testimonials

These are some of the experiences of my clients that I've had through the years. I hope to have many more personal accomplishments added here from future clients but for now please use these stories to motivate you towards whatever your goals might be.

"I approached Matt because I needed to get back in physical shape to enjoy the physical activities I love (kitesurfing,
snowboarding and bicycle riding) as well as to improve my diet and nutrition.  Matt helped me by designing a plan
including personal training and food advice.  The result was I lost 60 lbs, increased my energy levels drastically,
and learned how to keep the weight off and the energy up!  One thing I liked was how his results driven solution was

designed specifically for me. I found the experience good, and recommend him to anyone who really wants results."

"About 3 years ago I remember I thought of a video game character I could dress-up for Halloween and it was Mordecai from Borderlands. I’m 5’4” and at the time I was ~175 lbs and looked it. The character is a tall, thin, scrappy character and abandoned the idea. Fast-forward to fall of 2015 and I had joined a gym for 2 years and had Matt Dean as a trainer for about a year and a half. I did in fact achieve cosplaying the character and believe Matt was key in making that happen."

"Matt as a trainer is very knowledgeable and I can bounce ideas off of. His work-outs are varied and I when I train I don’t know what to expect (which is kind of the point). I’ve also gotten routines I can do at not just the gym, but at home or even away from home. He’s a little low-key in demeanor, so not the hyper Richard Simmons-type. The results speak for themselves."

"I have been working with Matt for 1 year now, and he has been an awesome trainer to work with! On our first meeting, he described himself as “a stickler for results,” which has led to numerous hours of sweat-drenched hair and more than one occasion of “I need to sit down before I fall down,” followed by countless days of sore muscles and hours of deep sleep. Not to say he pushes you beyond your limits; he’s very good about listening to what your goals are and helping you achieve them at your own pace while challenging you just the right amount. He is extremely knowledgeable and adaptable, no matter what your limitations. I often get shoulder pain related to my work, and he’s been very helpful with teaching me stretches and exercises for me to do on my own time. "

"What sets Matt apart from other trainers is his professionalism and organization. He’s not pushy like most trainers, and he knows how to be engaging with his client so that hour of conditioning feels more energizing and invigorating, rather than “oh my god I’m so exhausted is my hour up yet?"

"If you’re looking for a trainer who will challenge you and educate you without pushing you beyond your limits, and who is invested in the outcome of your hard work, I highly recommend Matt!"

"I started with Matt after I felt my previous trainer wasn't challenging me enough.  Matt leads me through exercises that I wouldn't have picked out for myself, which builds strength in different ways and ups my confidence level (although he has to often put up with my whining).  I'm not looking to bulk up but to strengthen the muscles that are weakened by years of sitting at a computer.  Matt keeps me accountable to exercise so that I can live a more full and physically functional life."

"Love the fact that Matt is also a personal chef.  He's made healthy dinners for my family that accommodate our gluten-free, Paleo-like diets.  It's so convenient to pick up the dinners when I work out with him.  Delicious and a nice alternative to our regular restaurant routine."
